Garden of Need
I have been
I have been
beyond the Gates
beyond the Gates
at the Garden of Need
at the Garden of Need
and now my memories
and now my memories
have forgotten me
have forgotten me
Trail of ‘lectric crumbs scattered into artificial darkness. Laughing mad, labyrinthine math. Only an echo of whence I whistled.
I have been
unlocking 1100 foot doors,
crawling the floor of a purple forest,
sliding down black pyramids,
under the spell of lost cobra.
I have been
tied to the belly of a ram,
snuck into unknown kingdoms,
where children born unto artificial darkness
find their temporal signatures,
where homosuperior toss their tiny ships at satellites.
Trail of ‘lectric crumbs scattered into artificial darkness. Laughing mad, labyrinthine math. Only an echo of whence I whistled.
I have been
beyond the Gates
at the Garden of Need
and now my memories
have forgotten me

Screamship
Holy animals.
Holy animals.
Holy animals.
Holy animals—yeoww!
Impatient is the sun rushing towards sunset. Midnight and noon are one under artificial darkness flushing out each geometric formula between calendar dates and the fate of insects. Some struggle back to their nests. Others are cursed with an expanded measure of perception.
Brief nudity. Sword manners.
Mixed salts. Prison-made clouds.
School district encryptions. This city is illegal.
Home. Still homesick. The heat of some no-love kitchen gets so hot that the apartment becomes an animal, a holy animal. It’s flooded with colour. Cleaned with fire. And of the dream ignited by the light bearer within it’s belly, well it explodes.
Holy animals.
Holy animals.
Holy animals.
Holy animals—yeoww!
And as my Screamship soar over and beneath an enormous language sea, I seem to recall, or feel some urge, to let go of all use of bitter thinking.
